THE ORDER OF RAILROAD TELEGRAPHERS
THE CINCINNATI, NEW ORLEANS AND
TEXAS PACIFIC RAILWAY COMPANY
STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the General Committee of The Order
of Roalroad Telegraphers on the Cincinnati, New Orleans & Texas Pacific
Railway, that:
1. Carrier violated the Agreement between the parties when on November
22, 1957 it declared abolished the position of printer operator in the
Chattanooga Relay Office effective November 26, 1957 while, in fact,
the work of the position remained and suspended Mrs. C. B. Porter
from work on November 27, 28 and 29, 1957.
2. Carrier shall compensate Mrs. C. B. Porter for a day's pay (eight hours
pro rata) on November 27, 28 and 29, 1957.
FINDINGS: The Third Division of the Adjustment Board finds:
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parts by the complainant party; and
That hearing thereon has been held and concluded. Under date of June 29,
1961, the parties jointly addressed a formal communication to the Secretary
of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this case from further consideration by the Division, which request is hereby granted.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
