THE ORDER OF RAILROAD TELEGRAPHERS
THE NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD, Eastern District
(Except Boston and Albany Division)
STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the General Committee of the Order
of Railroad Telegraphers on the New York Central Railroad (Eastern District), that:
1. Carrier violated the Telegraphers' Agreement in abolishing telegraph service positions and transferring the work performed by
such employes to the train dispatchers at Rochester, New York.
2. Carrier shall compensate a day's pay of eight hours for each
eight hour shift around the clocks on each day commencing with
August 12, 1957 and continuing until such violation is corrected,
to the senior idle extra employe on the following list:

R. C. Schoeneck R. J. Burke
R. E. Trick E. A. Gallerie
W. F. Smith C. H. Eaton
R. E. Tindall R. D. Miller
C. E. Hixon G. W. Springer

R. Butterfield
3. In the event the extra employes shown above or any other employes
subsequently added to the list are working on any day, the Carrier
shall compensate the senior idle regular assigned employe on his
rest day for a day's pay.
FINDINGS: The Third Division of the Adjustment Board finds:
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parts by the complainant party; and
That hearing was waived and under date of August 22, 1961, the parties
jointly addressed a formal communication to the Secretary of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this case, which request is hereby granted.
