QUESTION
AT ISSUE: Claim of the General Committee of the
Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen on
behalf of Messrs. J. Spellman, J. Guthro,
J. Lynch, R. 0. O'Donnell and Z·1. Hall for
the following allowances each for each
work day commencing September 30, 1967
and continuing until a correction is mate:
Four (4) hours' pay at the time and
one-half rate. Automobile mileage
allowance of 8p per mile for one
hundred and sixty (160) miles.
$2.00 I'.assachusetts Turnpike toll
charges.
OPINION
OF BOARD: The question submitted for determination
by this Board involves claims for travel
expenses incurred by employes traveling
to and from their places of residence
and their work headquarters. '
Under such circumstances, there is nothing in
the February 7 Agreement which empowers this Board to consider claims
for travel. Award No. 54. These are matters to be considered within
the jurisdictional confines of the schedule agreement between the
parties.
AWARD
The claims are dismissed.
