NORFOLK AND WESTERN RAILWAY CO.


STATEMENT OF CLAIM:

 1. The Carrier violated the effective Agreement and specifically
 Rule 48(A) & (n) of the Memorandum of Agreement of July 10, 1968 by failing
 to reimburse Extra Gang Foreman E. Cole, Extra Gang 4_603 for meals and lodgin,
 expenses for the month of September. 1968.

 2. Claimant Cole shall now be reimbursed in the amount of $,81.25 for the expenses incurred by him for meals and lodging during the month of September 1968.

 OPINION OF BOARD:
 The record shows it was never intended that Claimant Cole's extra gang was in fact a floating gang. The claim therefore is without merit and a denial award is in order.
