STATEMENT OF CLAIM:
Appeal of Welder, William
T. Eaton,
to have
his discipline of a twenty-five (25) day
suspension removed from his record.
FINDINGS: The Claimant was discharged from the service because the
carrier determined that he was an unsafe worker. It had reached this
conclusion on
the basis of nine personal injuries sustained by the
Claimant since January 11, 1977, On appeal, the Carrier modified its
discipline to a
twenty-five (25) day suspension.
The Board, after careful review of the evidence properly before
us, finds no basis to further modify or set aside the discipline
assessed by the Carrier.
AWARD
The claim is denied.
