STATEMENT OF CLAIM

J. A. Stevens was improperly dismissed. Claim for reinstatement and pay for time lost.

FINDINGS

On August 18, 1986, Mr. Stevens made unauthorized use of an oil company credit card when he charged to the carrier an item for his personal use. Although subsequently Mr. Stevens attempted to have the oil company change the transaction, Mr. Stevens made no attempt to notify his supervisor or the carrier of the improper charge. Mr. Stevens knew that he had improperly used the credit card and he had ample opportunity to notify the carrier of that use.
