                          STATEMENT OF CLAIM


                The Agreement was violated when the Carrier failed

~'` and refused to allow Welding Subdepartment Grinder H.
            Henderson compensation for travel time incurred

            traveling to and from welder training school at

            Overland Park, Kansas on July 31, 1988 and August 12,

            1988.

        As a consequence of the violation, Welding Bubdepartment Grinder H. Henderson shall be allowed 20.3 hours pay at his straight time rate for travel time incurred on July 31, 1988 and August 12, 1988. F I N D I N G 8 'Chin claim is identical to that reviewed in Award No. 23 as to travel time to attend a welding training program but does not include reference to any additional time while in the program. The conclusions reached in Award No. 23 are included herein by reference. once again it is emphasized that the Carrier has not demonstrated any formal acceptance by the organization as to the Carrier's 1964 "policy".
