STATEMENT 01; CLAIM
1. The Agreement was violated when the Carrier
assigned Electronic Technician W. Vile to perform the
work of testing relays- at the Zoo Substation beginning
January 7, 1993 and continuing until February 22, 1993,
instead of assigning Electrician-Relay C. E. Baylor, III.
2. As a consequence of the violation referred to
in Part (1) above, Substation Electrician-Relay C. E.
Baylor, III shall be compensated ". . . eight (8) hours
a day plus any overtime hours made by Mr. Vile performing
Electrician/Relay duties for each day of the violation
starting with January 7, 1993 and subsequent work days
until February 22, 1993. In addition the Union would
require management to desist from having Mr. Vile perform
any duties whatsoever concerning the maintenance,
calibration, testing and repairs of relays, meters,
instruments and contractors concerning the 25 cycle
protective relays. . ."
FINDINGS ..
This claim virtually duplicates the claim set forth in Award
2. As in Award 2, it is subject to the interchange between the
Carrier and the Organization as required in Award 4.
