STATEMENT OF CLAIM

“Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood that:

1. The Carrier violated Appendix C of the Agreement when it failed and refused to compensate Mr. B. Onstad for his time spent traveling to and from class at the Carrier’s Homewood Campus in Homewood, Illinois on January 9 and 13, 2017 (Carrier’s File WC-BMWED-2017- 00008 WCR).

   
   

2. As a consequence of the violation referred to in Part 1 above, Claimant B. Onstad shall be compensated for four (4) hours for his time spent in transit on January 9 and 13, 2017, at the applicable straight time rate of pay of the Claimant’s last position worked.”

The carrier or carriers and the employee or employees involved in this dispute are respectively carrier or employee within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act as approved June 21, 1934.

Public Law Board 7566 has jurisdiction over the parties and the dispute involved herein.

The parties have resolved the above claim through settlement.

Claim dismissed.
