P THE PITTSBURGH AND LAIC; ERIE RAILROAD COMPANY Award No. 38
Y THE LAKE ERIE AND EASTERN RAILROAD COMPANY Case No. 45
vs
BROTHERHOOD OF RAILWAY AND STEAMSHIP CLERKS,
FREIGHT HANDLERS, EXPRESS AND STATION EMPLOYES.

STATEMENT OF CLAIM:

FINDINGS: The Board, upon the whole record and all the evidence, finds that:

The Carrier or Carriers and the employee or employees involved in this dispute are respectively Carrier and Employee within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act, as approved June 21, 1934.

The Board has jurisdiction over the dispute involved herein. The parties to said dispute were given due notice of hearing thereon.

The record substantiates the conclusion that on the dates here involved, the compiling of monthly ticket reports at Aliquippa Ticket was, for more than seven years prior thereto, an element in the Ticket Agentps job dimensions, and not a task normally included within or generally associated with the clerical work job outlines reserved to the claimants by the Clerks9 Agreement.

AWARD: Claims denied.
