STAMIENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood:
(1) That Carrier violated the Clerksp current Agreement when it required
EI. IJ. Dean and ld. L. Sitton, Freight Accounting Departm?nt, Tyler, Texas, to
suspend work on their regularly assigned positions and perform work of an entirely
different character than covered by their assignment.
(2) That the above named employees be reimbursed for loss suffered, as
follows: Mr. t%l. 11. Dean for two hours on April 3, 1951, four hours on June 20,
1951, three and one-half hours on June 25, 1951, or a total of nine and one-half
hours at the rate of his regularly assigned position; Mr. id. L. Sitton for two
hours on April 3, 1951, at the rate of his regularly assigned position. This
claim also to cover all subsequent dates until the violation is corrected. The
above to be in addition to their regular compensation.
Award No. 29 of this Board-disposed of a case similar in fact and the
same rule involved as here, in which the claim was denied.
