STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood:
(1) That Carrier violated the Clerksp current A3reement, commencing on or
about August 1, 1949, when the assigned-duties of the Price-Invoice Clerk position,
Stores Department, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was increased to include the handling of
the Accounting
pertaining to
invoices and vouchers without, at the same time,
in
creasing the rate of pay
on
the position.
(2) That the position of Price-Invoice Clerk be re-rated at the proper rate
of `.921.16 per day instead of the present rate of ;016.11 per day.
(3) That Mr. J. C. LZayhugh shall now be paid the difference between the
amount actually received and the amount he should have received if this position
had been properly rated from August 1, 1949, until this position is properly rated.
FINDINGS: This case involves a reclassification of the job rather than a violation
of the rules. There is nothing the Board can pass on in this case and,
therefore, remands it back to the parties for handling under provisions of the
Railway Labor Act.
AHARD: Case disposed of in keeping with the above Findings.
