DISPUTE Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway Company

STATEMENT OF CL.kIM: Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood that:

(a) Carrier violated the current Clerkst Agreement when it denied pay for Thanksgiving Day Holiday, November 25, 1954, to L. A. Helton, who was working Cashier-Clerk Position No. 524 at Carthage, Texas; and,

(b) L. A. Helton shall now be paid eight (8) hours at pro rata

rate of Position No. 524, Carthage, Texas, for Thanksgiving Day Holiday,
November 25, 1954. --

FINDINGS: Special Board of Adjustment No. 174, upon the whole record and all
the evidence, finds and holds: 11

The Carrier and Employes involved in this dispute are respectively Carrier and Employes within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act as amended.

This Special Board of Adjustment has jurisdiction over this dispute.

This claim presents the same facts and questions as in S.B.A. No. 174 Award 16.

For the reasons therein stated the claim must be denied.
