1. Carrier violated the provisions of the Telegraphers' Agreement
when it refused to properly adjust the rate of pay for the
position of Agent at Tuckahoe, N. Y., when the duties of that
position were materially increased by the consolidation of ticket
and freight positions at Tuckahoe, N. Y., on January 15, 1958.
2. Carrier shall now be required to comply with the provisions of
the agreement with an adjustment in the hourly rate of pay retroactive to January 15, 1958.
AWARD: The Board remands this case to the parties for further joint discussions
on the merits of the claim under Article 20 (d) of the Agreement. Said
discussions shall include joint exploration of evidence concerning such other
positions in the subject seniority district as may appear similar to the posi
tion involved in this claim. If the parties are unable to settle this claim
prior to January 1, 1959, the dispute shall be returned to the Board for Adjudi
cation, together with a statement setting forth such evidence as has been con
sidered during the joint discussions here directed.
