OF CLAIM: Claim of the System C=mittee that:

"1) Cariier violated the agreement on June 24, 1983, when Trackman R. Nelson, System Rail Gang 6805, was dismissed June 24, 1983 for being absent without authority fran April 1, 1983 Lentil June 17, 1983.

2) Claimant sy;al7_ now be returned to service with all rights unimpaired and paid for all tines lost beginning June 24, 1983."

FINDINGS: The claimant last worked on March 23, 1983 and
was notified on June 7, 1983 by registered letter
of an investigation on June 17, 1983 for absence
without authority from his assiganent. He did not
appear at the investigation.
Evidence was adduced at the investigation to support
the charge so the claim is without merit.
