authority on May 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, and 18, 1990.

Findings: The Board has jurisdiction of this case by reason of the parties Agreement establishing this Board therefor.

The Claimant was notified to attend a formal investigation on the charge:

            "Absent without the property authority on May 10, 11, 14,.15, 16, 17, and 18, 1990."

The investigation was held in absentia. The Carrier concluded therefrom that Claimant was culpable. He was dismissed from service.as discipline therefor.

The transcript fully substantiates the rule violations by the Claimant. A report introduced during the hearing supported the charge against the Claimant. His work history reflects that there have been unauthorized absences for every day from flay 10 through at least May 31, 1990.

In view of Claimant's short service, some 9 months, the discipline is not deemed to be unreasonable. This claim will be denied.
