Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood that:
1. The Carrier violated the effective Agreement by failing to
reimburse Welder Frank Dooms for certain expenses incurred by
him while away from his headquarters during the month of
February
ig60.
FINDINGS:
That the Carrier now reimburse Welder Frank Dooms for his necessary
expenses amounting to $2.00 for electrical lighting in his outfit
car and $31.52 for mileage incurred in the use of his private
automobile travelling between his headquarters point and the
location of work.
Upon the whole record and all the evidence, after hearing, the
that the parties herein are carrier and employee within the meaning of the Railway
Labor Act, as amended, and that this Board is duly constituted by agreement and
has jurisdiction of the parties and of the subject matter.
Under the circumstances that appear in the record in this case, the claimant
should be paid for his automobile mileage from Pine Bluff to Fisher. His claim
for electricity and weekend travel will be denied.
