THE CENTRAL RAILROAD COMPANY OF NEW JERSEY
STATEMENT OF CLAIM:
1. The Carrier violated the effective Agreement on April
4, 1961,
when it assigned Grinder H. Reifon and Grinder Helper Stanley
Chibeck, to the work of bonding rails in the vicinity of Jim
Thorpe, Pennsylvania.
2.
The senior Track Laborer, H. Pavlick who was assigned to Section
No. 5, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, now be reimbursed at his pro rata
rate, account of Grinder and Grinder Helper performing this referredto work.
OPINION OF BOARD:
There being no work in their class to be performed on the date of
the claim, a Grinder and a Grinder Helper were assigned to bonding rails.
This type of work is normally performed by Track Laborers, Track Foremen or
Assistant Track Foremen.
The decision in this case is governed by our Award No.
40.
