STATEMENT OF CLAIM
: "Claim of the General Committee of the O.R.T.
that effective September 1, 1949, the Carrier
in violation of our Agreement has inaugurated the policy of blanking the positions of Levermen on Saturdays and Sundays at 'C' 'KN'
'HUDSON' 'WALDO,' and 'UNION' and require the Block Operators at
these locations to absorb the work of the Levermen.
It is therefore, requested that the policy of
blanking the Leverman-positions at the above-mentioned points cease
and that these positions be filled on Saturdays and Sundays as
provided in the rate structure of our Agreement; and that all
employes be reimbursed for all losses sustained by reason of this
violation." (New York Division Case No. 72 - System Docket No. 289)
FINDINGS
:
For the reasons set forth in our Award Nos. 34 and 30 dealing with Dockets
8871 and 8608, a denial Award is required here.
AWARD
:
Claim denied.
