STATEMENT 1. The Carrier violated Articles 17(a), 18 (d) and 20 (a)
OF CLAIM: of the Telegraphers' Agreement on April 10, 1960,
when it unilaterally abolished the second shift,
Washington (KI) position, and changed the starting
time of the agent-operator's position at Washington,
Indiana from 8:00 A. M. to 9:00 A. M.
2. Carrier shall restore the second shift Washington
(KI) position with assigned hours from 4:00 P. M.
12:00 Midnight and compensate Operator R. G. Potts
for all time lost, who, as a result of the series
of displacements, was forced to the extra list, for
each day he was adversely affected due to the second
shift Washington (KI) position remaining abolished,
and all other employes adversely affected be compensated for all time lost.
There is no question of a violation of Rule 19(a), 17 (a) and
18 (d) .
However, we will sustain the claim only as it relates to
Claimant R. G. Potts, and it terminates April 29, 1961 -the date the Agent-Operator position was changed to start
in accordance with Rule 19(a).
Request for restoration of the"position and that "a11
other employees adversely affected be compensated for
all time 'lost" is denied.
