PARTIES TO DISPUTE:

STATEMENT OF CLAIM:

Appeal on behalf of *. Campbell from his dismissal.

FINDINGS:
Claimant, an employee with one year of service, was dismissed for excessive absenteeism.
The record shows that after a number of formal notices of absences and several deferred suspensions, his absences continued. When he was again absent, without permission or persuasive evidence of illness, he was charged with absenteeism.
Every employee has an obligation to provide steady protection to his position. It is evident that claimant did not do so in this case.

AWARDS Claim denied.
